Remarkably maneuverable, yet reassuringly stable, the Northwind 16 is an excellent couples or small family boat, with a lot of carrying capacity for a 16 footer. The design has recently been changed to allow for more efficient solo paddling, letting you turn the boat around and paddle from the bow seat.
Northstar offers it in several constructions and with two different trim options, offering you the ability to tailor make the boat to your needs.
Northwind 16s are available in:
- IXP Innegra/aramid (57 pounds): clearcoat
- StarLite aramid (38 pounds) : clearcoat"
- Starlite Plus (43 lbs) with colored exterior layer
- BlackLite carbon/aramid (41 pounds) : clearcoat
We stock the Northwind 16 in WhiteGold, IXP, and StarLite, but can order the other layups and wood trim. Lead time on custom order boats is typically 5 to 8 weeks, sometimes a little longer in summer.
